Geneva, NY – January 17, 2024 — Finger Lakes Wine Alliance, the premier trade association for wines in the region, proudly celebrates its 20th year in 2024.
As it continues to raise the profile of North America’s leading cool-climate winegrowing region, the organization is starting the year with a Strategic Plan that outlines new goals and initiatives. Executive Director Kyle Anne Pallischeck is beginning her fourth year in the role, with support from Marketing and Admin Assistant Sarah Tuttle. Together they execute an annual program of work focused on the mission to increase the visibility and prominence of the Finger Lakes American Viticultural Area, its wineries, and wines.
Planned marketing events for 2024 include the signature 4-day Riesling Camp at the end of April, as well as FLX Roadshows in regional markets and FLX Roadtrip to bring local trade to the region. Finger Lakes Wine Alliance also offers workforce development programs to its winery members, with workshops focused on marketing, wholesale distribution, hospitality and wine-specific master classes.
The Alliance’s busy 20th year will be stewarded by its board of directors made up of member winery leaders. The 2024 Executive Committee of the Board includes Shannon Brock (Silver Thread Vineyard) as Chair, Meaghan Frank (Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery) as Vice Chair, Jordan Harris (Heron Hill Winery) as Secretary, Amanda Fitzgerald (Goose Watch Winery) as Treasurer and Kim Aliperti (Billsboro Winery) as Past Chair.
“The Finger Lakes wine region is considered one of the best in the world thanks in large part to cooperative organizations like FLWA. Twenty years of winery collaboration to tell the story of the Finger Lakes has moved the needle for all our businesses. I can’t wait to see where we will be after another twenty years,” said Shannon Brock, Finger Lakes Wine Alliance Board Chair.
